Since Allah wants us to sin in order to forgive us (and if we don’t sin – Allah is going to wipe us out) who turns out to be the true hero of Islam? Satan.
1. Allah wants humans to be sinners
Abu Sirma reported that when the time of the death of Abu Ayyub Ansari drew near, he said: I used to conceal from you a thing which I heard from Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and I heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Had you not committed sins, Allah would have brought into existence a creation that would have committed sin (and Allah) would have forgiven them. (Sahih Muslim, Book 037, Number 6620)
- Allah wants sinners to exist
- If there were no sinners, he would wipe them out and replace them with people who would sin
- Allah created satan knowing he would rebel
- Satan would then cause people to sin, bringing about the sinners that Allah wants to exist
2. Satan helps Allah create sinners
Then did Satan make them slip from the (garden), and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: “Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood – for a time.” Sura 2:36
“I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah.” Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest. Sura 4:119
Satan is the one making people sin by misleading and creating false desires.
Conclusion – satan is the hero
So in reality, Allah should be thanking satan and praising satan for helping Allah to bring about the conditions in which humans needs to be in (sinners). Otherwise Allah would wipe them out!
This put satan in a position of being the actual savior of mankind! Muslims should be thanking satan everyday. Here is a model prayer for you to start the day with: “Thank you Iblis for being the savior of mankind”.
